-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The batch file was created to address a major issue within Windows XP and incorrect
Formatting memory cards (FAT32/NTFS). (It will also reformat corrupted cards should the problem not be a hardware issue)
To use:
1. Insert your Memory Card into a card reader (note which drive Windows places it on)
2. Double click the formatter. bat file.
3. Press a key to get to the Memory size Menu.
4. Select the memory size. 1 =512mb through to 6 = 16mb
5. Press Enter
6. Select the drive letter (a-z) (the one that you noted down earlier)
7. At the prompt press enter
8. When it has finished formatting. Press enter
9. At the final prompt press any key to exit.
Your card will now be correctly formatted, just insert it back into your device (camera, MP3 player, phone etc) and reformat using the devices on board formatting function.
You will hopefully now have a fully functional Memory card again.
(N-Gage MMC specific Note)
With some makes/larger sized MMC's you may not regain the USB functionality
However the card should be fully usable via BT adapter/PC Suite and in your
card reader.
